Grogans Riverfront

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! They are not open at the moment, but my experience with them is that they are skeptical of young people & if you exit the river near their property they post it on Facebook & attempt to publicly shame you. Avoid small businesses that play the victim to non existent crimes.

Had a great time watching Brandon Davis perform, was pretty cool out but they had chili and stew there to warm our bellies. Look forward to next season to see more shows.

This is a different style review for me. This iconic hotel built in 1931 holds a special place in my heart. One of closest friends who I have had the pleasure of knowing for over 20yrs has taken over this gem in Madison,NC. It sits on the bank of the Dan River and until 2020 had been abandoned for 45 y rs. Once known as Grogans Motor Court it has been rebranded as Grogans Riverfront. It will be a multipurpose property with a little something for everyone. I have been helping with the renovation of the hotel since June of 2020. It will one day soon be a 5 star boutique hotel. Also located on the property you will find Dan River Outfitters and Glamping offering Tubing with shuttle service as well as Glamping huts located on the bank of the river.
