Green Ridge State Forest Campsite #85

Site 85 is very remote in the winter so I imagine it’s extreme off grid in summer. The flowing creek will lull you to sleep but the 1/4 mile driveway is pretty funky. 4x4 access or high clearance vehicles recommended. The site is huge and could hold 3 to 4 tents and vehicles with ease. Large fire put and table provided. There is a secret find behind the campsite about 300 yards back. Good luck!

Nearby Cliff Road is not an understatement and you'll definitely need 4 wheel drive or a good clearance to get to the site, but it's a fun drive. Once you get there it's very isolated and peaceful, and the nearby creek is relaxing to listen to. The site itself is pretty large and surrounded by hills in all directions aside from the road leaving.

Great site, entrance was very muddy and rutted, no problem for a 4x4. The creek bed was dry, but after a rain storm it started flowing. Site held 4 tents just fine and features a huge firepit.

The campsite and road down to it is AMAZING, BUT because this is a “high clearance” road (any car can go down it but you might slightly scrape), it makes for a very popular road for random cars and trucks to drive down and “off road” while you’re camping. At first, the first 2 or 3 people were fine, but after the 10th and 11th and so on, it gets really annoying. There’s nothing at the start of the entrance to show the campsite is in use, there for everyone and anyone just freely drives down the road since they can’t see the actual campsite from the entrance. Then because it’s so narrow, the drivers are forced to enter into your campsite and you’re forced to move everything in your campsite around just to be able to give the drivers enough room to turn around and leave.

Probably the best site here. My opinion. Right by the creek and very spacious.
