Green Gables Motel

An old fashioned one story motel reminding me my motorcycling days. Room was perfect for a one night stay on a long road trip. No frills and a very competitive price. Highly recommend.

The Green Gables has put in some good improvements since I stayed here a couple of years ago. The thing you should realize about this motel is that it offers very high value. So remember that it's not the Ritz Carlton you're checking into. With that in mind:||The room is good - sizable, clean, double bed is comfortable, TV works, two lamps that work and a little refrigerator and also a microwave. So you have what you need for a few nights. Also, outside each room there are little chairs so you can sit outside which in the summer, is a very pleasant thing to do. And it's fun to talk with the other guests; they are always interesting people.||The location cannot be beat. It is very near Scripps Park which has a playground, a picnic area and a fabulous aquatic center with a giant slide. It's

Heater was loud and stinky. Never got a rem. Then when I canceled the rest of my stay, lady got all indignant and defensive. And you'll have to call her cell bc no one will be at the desk.

This is the second time that we have stayed in this motel in the last year. The room was clean and comfortable. The room featured a new shower in the restroom. The rooms are easy to get into and out of. My wife and I stayed one night and it cost us a modest fee of about $73.00. The lady who checked us in was polite and helpful.

Rooms were very nice and well kept. Lady at the front desk was extremely nice and very accommodating! Will stay again if ever in the area again.
