Great View Motel

Absolutely the worst ever motel I have been to. This place gave us room as soon as we walked there was a dead mouse on the floor right in the open. They gave a new room which then was infested with bugs all over the room( the ac,beds,lamps,windows,bathroom,toilet) didn't even clean before we got there because there was stuff left from the last people who stayed there shoved under the bed. They refused to give us a refund because we left a light on so in their eyes we used the room. If I could give this place negative stars I would do so. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. OWNERS ARE A PIECE OF WORK. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

The owner was rude, hardly even engaged when we walked in. Asked for 2 non smoking rooms, 1 room was a smoking room, he did provide us with a room without smoking. The bath mat (towel) was soaked, it was never changed from the previous guest. There was gum stuck to the bedside table and the room was covered in dead flies. I understand you get what you pay for, but at least clean the place.

Decent hotel for the price if you really need one short notice. The staff was actually very nice and chill and have us complimentary water. The hotel has the basic necessities, comfy bed, tv with decent channels and HBO, fridge and microwave, free parking. However, it's a bit run down and the window actually fell out of it's frame while we were there. Overall it was decent and served our needs for the night.

We travel from Albany to this area in order to visit relatives in Plattsburgh and then go to the casino. We absoultely LOVE this place....we are always treated kindly. The owners are very friendly and courteous. We have been coming here for about 4 years now and this is the only place we will stay at. always clean and comfortable. We recently stayed for the husband's 65th birthdday and we were pleasantly surprised with the many upgrades being done. we love the breakfast and the coffee etc. This is a real down to earth place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and well light up for late returns from the casino...thanks for keeping this motel open...we will be back to celebrate New Years Eve at the casino and of course stay here.||||Donna Dennis||Clifton Park, NY

All the years I've been coming to this area, I'd never been here before..and disappointed I hadn't! Clean room, nice hot water, good location and friendly service and an excellent price! Will definitely be back..
