Grasshopper Campsites

I really like this campsite. It’s secluded and you can get an awesome camping experience if you select a good site. GH12 - is next to the boat ramp. Lots of traffic and next to a light. Otherwise a good site if you need space. Able to park off-road if you have high clearance GH-21 - has lots of space around, and is closer to the composting toilet. GH-22 to GH26 are off a secluded drive. 22 has its own beach area and is highly desirable! 26 Is it the very end at the turnaround and quite private. GH-07 and 08 are on a higher area further from the water but with a good overlook. Beavers Bend has a lot of hidden gems. Make sure you carefully select your campsite to get the kind of experience you’re looking for

In the spring and summer, this spot may be somewhat busy since there is a boat ramp adjacent to it, but it still offers a beautiful view of the lake. In the fall and winter months, this area is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon or camp.

We had a great time here - booked GH022, it was a great location with your own beach shared with 1 other campsite. You can drive 2 minutes up the road to get to real toilets and showers.

Very nice area. The water was perfect. It was nice and quiet, not many other people there. So we enjoyed the peace. Only caught a couple of small catfish. Plenty of benches for picnics, and there are also bbq grills. We went on a Wednesday, so I imaging it would be busy on a weekend. We had a great time, and will definitely be back.

Gorgeous waterfront camping, the only down side is that most campsites are slanted and the ground is extremely rocky making staking your tent down a challenge. Otherwise it is great. It is primitive camping, with no water, power, or showers.
