Granville Bed & Breakfast

Claims “scenic lake view porch”…..ya that’s a stretch. The whole town has this creepy tourists trap vibe, like they’re really stretching to call this town a tourists town. Absolutely nothing to do in town! Even the locals tell you nothing to do there. You have to resort to watching TV to kill time….which is a 20” tv have fun seeing it from the couch. Continental breakfast is a JOKE!! Honeybuns from gas station, frozen tiny sausage biscuits that you have to microwave. No milk.

The only reason I didn't give a 5 is because of the breakfast. Honeybuns and frozen sausage and biscuits are not what I expected for the price. No decaf, so bring your own if that's important. Otherwise, we had the whole house to ourselves and the rooms and common room was very nice. However, it may have been awkward had anyone else we didn't know stayed there. Great place for friends, though. The location is perfect! There are fun places within walking distance.

Nance was very informative and friendly. She made our welcome very warm. Cute, clean, and comfy spot right there in Mayberry. Come spend the whole day and enjoy this sweet little town. Breakfast was prepackaged danishes and muffins. Cereal was also an option. We were also given some juice and bottled water. There was another couple staying upstairs but the Jared house is very good sized so we never really felt like we were bothering one another.

The Jared house has two bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. There are three Bathrooms, one for each bedroom and one for the large commons area. This is a great place for a reunion, retreat, party, or family gathering. We used the area for a high school reunion and it was wonderful. The porch and carport offered a wonderful place for groups to be outside. Great experience!

We really enjoyed our 4th trip to Granville. The B & B was very nice, clean & spacious. Everyone in the town is very friendly. We had a wonderful weekend. We look forward to going back next year.
