Granite Point Resort

We attended a local market event and stayed here. I'm so glad we did. The resort is so cute! It gives "The Parent Trap" vibes. The main lobby has a charming coffee shop, restaurant, gift shop and game room. The grounds were clean, safe, quiet, and had beautiful views of the lake. Our cabin was clean, cozy and ready upon arrival. We had a beautiful view of the lake from the back porch. All the staff we had interactions with were amazing. Paul (the manager) helped me with my booking and ensured I had a discount added. The young man who checked us in was so welcoming and made the check-in process a breeze. We had forgotten to pack butter for our breakfast and the sweet, young girl at the restaurant gave us some. I highly recommend this resort to travelers and especially families!

Our extended family has been coming to the resort for 16 years. We absolutely love it and it keeps getting better and better. The cottages are in great shape, well appointed and really clean. The grounds are great - such a fun beach with dock and diving board. The store and cafe are wonderful. This year they refreshed menu options and they have some awesome selections. Try the Ruben - it does not disappoint. Granite Point creates a great atmosphere to have a wonderful vacation. Highly, highly recommend.

We went to a private wedding celebration here. It is such a beautiful location, the staff was incredibly helpful, and they were ready willing and able to do anything that we needed for the event. My only complaint is that the cottages do not have fans or AC. When we first arrived, the cottage was very hot and stuffy, and the windows in our particular cottage were very small. Otherwise, they are very well equipped with everything that you need for your Say, including a fully stocked kitchenette. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to get away and spend some time on the lake!

This morning was a complete bust. We came in around 10 a.m. hoping for a nice, relaxing breakfast, and it was anything but. First off, it took a solid 15 minutes just to get someone to take our order. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. I got the eggs with biscuits and gravy. After about 45 minutes of waiting, our food showed up. My eggs were rubbery, the biscuits were burned, and the gravy was straight from a packet. Everything was cold and uneditable. We were so disappointed we just paid and got out of there. We've heard great things about this place, so maybe it was an off day, but for the price, we expected much better food and service. Buy local is what we like to support, but not in this case. We won't be back

Our families have been staying at Granite Point for many years. The current crew including 2nd year manager Paul, Josie etc. really know how to make guests feel welcome. The new store and restaurant is an upgrade in every way, ice cream and espresso bar included. Nancy Jo and John even made an appearance or two. A nice relaxing week benefited from perfect weather. Please consider a stay if you like a vintage visual appeal with modern amenities. Personally I feel the resort is the best it's ever run, from store staff to the meticulous grounds crew. Kudos all around. Another fine year at Loon Lake.
