GrandStay Hotel & Suites Becker - Big Lake

The hotel was clean and inviting. The front desk gal Jennifer was so accommodating, she helped us during our stay. We were all very happy, and would come again for sure!! Great customer service, and friendly, and kept the place looking great, especially during the holidays!! We'll be back!! Thank you, and keep your great staff!! We stayed here for a central location for volleyball tournaments in Big Lake and Foley. The hotel is a bit dated, but it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't stay here again. The chairs in the room need a good cleaning and the beds have a sag and squeaky metal springs, but it wasn't as dry in the room as most hotels are. We were able to get a good night's sleep and the breakfast was adequate. We did not use the pool or workout areas. The staff was very friendly and it is a good value.

4 stars? This is one of the first times that I feel like the Trip Advisor rating led me astray. Our room smelled terribly musty, we had fruit flies, 2 regular flies, the carpet was stained and sticky we didn't feel comfortable with our shoes off. This was the worst hotel experience we have had in years. Would not recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel but we did have issues with our room keys not working. We went through redoing 7 keys. The staff was wonderful to help out with anything...no complaints there! The gathering room was very nice for our family group. The king sized bed in our room was very uncomfortable...way too firm. They provided a very nice breakfast.

My family and I (& dogs!) stayed at GrandStay Hotel & Suites last weekend and what a breath of fresh air. The hotel is decorated for Christmas with hot cocoa bar, candy canes, and even a place for kiddos to write letters to Santa. While the beds were not as firm as I would have preferred, the hotel as a whole was a wonderful surprise. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, great breakfast, and a warm pool! They spent time on the little things to make this a pleasant stay - something that I have not experienced in quite a while. We will not forget this! Special thanks to the entire staff - you all created a relaxing environment that was wonderful. We will be back!
