Just got home after 4 nights at the Grand Summit. It is our 2nd time staying there. I can't find anything negative to write. Both times were memorable. From the moment we checked in, the staff was attentive and friendly. Yes, the hotel is older, but clean and easy to navigate. We never wanted for anything. All of our requests were fulfilled and we enjoyed the amenities the hotel had to offer. We spent time everyday at the pool/hot tub, CAMP, Ember, the snowshoe trail out back, ski check and of course, skied right out the door to the slopes. I could go on..... Thank you Grand Summit staff! See you again soon!
Stayed here 2 nights whilst on a tour of New England. Giving a 1 star rating as after returning to room 162 after a long and tiring day we found our room had not been serviced. Apparently there has been a big changeover of staff. There were no housekeeping staff available.||Management will doubtless claim we had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. We can assure them we didnt..||||Also need to mention the restsurant. The menu is limited and its VERY expensive. The wines are ridiculously overpriced.. we didnt get a choice as to where we stayed on the tour.
First, I am about to check out and have an all day lift pass for our last day. When I asked for a late checkout, I was told that checkout was at 10:30, but they can give me an extra half hour (11 a.m.) AND THEN IT WOULLD BE $30 AN HOUR TO STAY LONGER! Wow! I have never heard of only a 1/2 hour late checkout and then to be nickel and dimed after spending about $1000 for 2 nights of lodging and extra for meals....this is an insult and as I leave today with this in mind, I will NEVER come back to this outdated, poorly designed and very basic lodging facility! I have stayed at Air B and B on Sunday River prior to this year and even rented an on mountain condo for a season in the past. The last hour of the drive here can be described as nothing more than ugly.Once here, however, the scenery
Stayed here for a couple of nights and can say the location has breathtaking views of the mountains. Staff was extremely friendly, with many text messages checking in throughout my stay (which I felt was a nice touch). I didn't eat at the resort restaurant, so I can't comment on the food offerings. Hotel was very clean, hotel room was spotless and quiet. Appliances were a little outdated (1992) but worked without any issues. Murphy bed was my only complaint. Mattress was not very comfortable (which isn't necessarily a hotel problem, mattress comfort is very subjective). I stayed in a summit studio superior. The head of the murphy bed wasn't up against the wall at all, nor was there any head of the bed, just a lot of space, so it was hard to get comfortable (pillows kept falling off
A large resort almost needing an internal shuttle. An older property that could use some TLC - our door barely locked. The staff were ever obliging to make up for any shortcoming. ||We were here for an event. The food was exceptional considering the crowd they were feeding. Even special requests were honored. Couldn't have asked for more.
