Thanks Grand Patrician. We just love the noise, traffic, muddy road, and especially we love the brown water coming out of the faucets since you came to the neighbourhood. 4 days in a row. Well 3 off the weekend and right back to destroying the waterlines Monday morning. Thanks we love it. We also love all the yelling and cussing going on over there. As if it isn’t loud enough they have to yell and cuss at each other and you hear it on your front porch. I don’t particularly like listening to that. Sure the little kids living next door don’t either. You’d think there was professionals over there but very few.
We played nite golf here over the weekend of the 4th. It was beautifully kept. The staff was dedicated to helping with any issues that arrived. The single person golf cart took some getting used to, once I got the hang of it I was all for it. They don't stop very fast ( use cation) if you clumsy like me. I highly recommend this. Fun facts the holes are modeled after other famous holes. Way cool. 10 out of 10, the view out the drive to it is as pretty as the course.
I was excited to come play here from the looks of the photos online, but let’s be real. To call this a golf course is a joke. The greens are literally concrete with turf on them. Only place I’ve ever seen that hitting a ball in the center of the green is a bad shot. I didn’t even go in with high hopes at all and still left beyond disappointed. I hope it gets better because it could have been a lot of fun. The lay out isn’t bad, and the hazards could make it so much fun. Hopefully it improves.
My golf buddies and I frequent the area courses in Barboursville and we were open minded when we found out this new course was going to be a "hybrid grass" par 3. We have played it several times over the past few months and honestly we seem to enjoy it less each time we go out. It gives off the vibe that it was designed by someone who has only played golf on video games and never played it in real life. The greens are so firm that, as someone mentioned in another review, if you hit the center of the green then it is not a good shot. The hazards are well kept and could make the challenge fun but holding the green is near impossible. The pin placements are put in positions that are quite literally impossible to land an approach shot. The previous pin locations are also still evident ev
We only drove around the place on a Sunday drive. Looks nice on the outside looking forward to when it gets opened up to the public
