Grand Bayou Resort

This has been a great getaway this weekend with our son. He enjoys the beach here, and we took our pontoon boat out on Grand Bayou for him to go tubing and kayaking. We stayed in one of the lodges for two nights. The only suggestion I have is that they add a hand towel rod/ring in the bathroom. There’s no where to hang a hand towel. We loved everything else! The staff are very helpful and responsive. The grounds are clean and very well maintained.

I frequently stay here I usually have no problems. This time our cabin had bed bugs! I’ve been reaching out to the manager with no response.

Upon getting there with my toy-hauler RV and unloading my Kawasaki 610 "Mule" I was asked by the "security" person if it was 4 wheel drive....I answered honestly that it can be if the 4wd option is engaged. The 610 is an overbuilt golf cart with low power and a dump bed on it for hauling stuff. I was going to use it to move around due to being a disabled vet with mobility issues. He went back and showed a photo to the manager "Rene'" and she gave him a hang tag with the rules on the back, with a highlight over the first line about golf carts. He said she told him "No 4 wheel drives allowed here" which was not what was written on the tag. He said we either had to load it back into the RV, making it impossible to stay in it, or take it home. I traveled an hour or so to come camp and h

If you are planning on using the event center . Make sure to bring everything you need to cook in . Pots bowls ect . They have nothing. . Beautiful place

Very beautiful place , just alot of flying bugs by the Beach 🏖 other than that , very worth the experience,
