Governor's Rock Motel

Governor’s Rock by far exceeded my expectations in a motel. Listen, I am a bougie girl who likes luxury high end. I come regularly to the area to visit family. This will be one of my families go to’s as we felt so welcomed and comfortable. This isn’t luxury or high end but I challenge anyone to find a single speck of anything in the room or to not feel instantly at home. It was incredibly clean, with a welcome basket full of thoughtful snacks to satisfy anyone’s salty or sweet tooth. There were so many little things neatly tucked where you may need it, it is apparent that the owners put a lot of thought and care into the rooms and property. Thank you for providing such a lovely place to stay in that beautiful area.

We booked out the whole motel for our June 2025 wedding, and the team at Governors Rock is truly incredible! They worked so hard to have the property in great shape for us. The fire pit was stocked with wood, they set up yard games and a tent for us, and offered tables and chairs in case we wanted to eat outside at any point. Our guests all loved their rooms and were very happy with the accommodations. I am so thrilled that we stayed with Governors Rock and would absolutely visit again!

What a beautiful place to stay. Private sitting area out the back sliding door. Comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice motel with a great outdoor space. Great location off of the Historic 7A in the Green Mountains. Firepit available and a great spot for the kids to run around outside. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff was super friendly. Would recommend and stay again.

This is a great spot in a beautiful part of Vermont! It’s very cozy and dog friendly! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Comfy beds, cable, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The staff is outstanding! Very friendly and attentive. It was a great experience!
