Golden Wheel Motel

I really wanted to like this place, but the 4.2 rating was too good to be true. Like a previous reviewer, I was hung up on after calling to try to make a reservation. I called back to reserve the room because I was concerned it might be the last one. Well, there were several more rooms available, and for good reason. The room was disgusting, like walking into 40 years worth of unrenovated filth. My friend and I slept with all our clothes on because we didn't trust the bedsheets. Neither of us showered because we didn't want to be barefoot anywhere in the room. It is "no smoking" currently, but clearly was a smoking room for decades. We probably should've just kept driving on to the next town. The only positive aspect of this motel was the cool neon sign.

The people who ran the place where very friendly. They helped our family more then they could ever have known. Really great veiw of mountains and its nice and roomy. Best place ever.. Thanks Joe. You're in our prayers 🙏

Amazing owners (meaning parents) but the son runs the front desk and is a jerk and was nice until he realized i wouldn't have anything to do with him outside of being a customer and he kicked me out

I stayed at the RV park about 4 years ago, on my home from Mississippi, where I flew back there to pick up my RV. Great quite little town

I never stayed here but the guy is really nice. He deserves a 5 star review
