Gold Bluffs Beach Campground

Best for tent camping. There are no pads to pull or back in. Also there is no electricity, sewer or water at the sites. There is a few water faucets around the campground. The bathrooms are nice and well kept with flush toilets and showers. The campground is right on the beach and has wonderful views of the ocean. It is great to have the waves lull you asleep at night.

We visited in the off season. Flush toilets and FREE hot showers were still available. The facilities were spotless and maintained daily. The overall cleanliness of the park and shoreline is a testimate to rangers that take pride in their work. Plentiful wildlife (elk and coyotes) during our stay. The cliffs just inland make for a senic view and the sunset is free if obstruction. While the access road is moderately pitted and the campsite loop could use some maintenance, it's nothing a stock SUV can't handle. The 26 car/RV accessable sites each have well maintained cement firepits, no electric, and no water hookup. The most unique campground. Right on the ocean with elk walking around. Saw seals swimming in the ocean. Bathhouse was dated and could use an update. Be aware the road to get to this campsite is NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH TRAILERS, big rv’s. It’s a tent or camper van only type of road.

Fantastic, small campground on the beautiful beach. Facilities were clean. As others have noted the drive down there is a bit bumpy, but we had no problem in our 21 foot RV.

Really close to the ocean. With really clean, well, maintained grounds and bathroom facilities, including showers. All of the campers were really respectful. I will say if you're not into children laughing. And crying and playing, then this may not be the spot for you. As for us, it's fun to watch kids having fun. Very family friendly. You can have pets here, but they must remain on a leash.
