We had a such a short but restful stay one weekend. The receptionist, Susa, was super helpful in letting us know our whereabouts and gave us a homemade map which was very clutch. On Sunday morning we walked with our two small kids to the breakfast diner. It was a super short and sweet walk. Running Springs is so beautiful and such a peaceful respite away from the city. I loved being outside of Big Bear town, away from all the crowds. We slept so good here, and even our dog was so happy. We left feeling recharged and definitely plan to stay here again in the future.
Clean. Lovely look and feel. Warm and good smelling. The service and management is as good as it gets. Didn’t use the pool but it was warm in the winter. Next time we’ll book a room with no unit above, which seems to be most of the property. The units above are too loud, like sleeping beneath a heard of elephants.
My daughter and I stayed in a charming rustic cabin. The interior was rustic, but had all the amenities. The grounds are lovely and shaded by oaks and pine trees. There is also with a creek that runs through a shady park. The owners are helpful and friendly, and even let us hold two new puppies they had just adopted. Our 2 night visit was wonderfully relaxing. I will be back!
If there is a planned power outage in the town for 12 hours overnight, you may want to let potential guests know that before they make a reservation and completely waste their money. No power = No Heat or Fireplace. Not hot Water, Cold Hot Tub. Definitely not worth $160 since the services I was paying for were shut down. The dogs that live there are the worst behaved, loudest, vile creatures I have ever encountered. Everything little thing or person walking by sets them off and they start barking and riling each other up. I love dogs, but those dogs ruin the place for everyone, its not peaceful, its not considerate, and its not a good place to stay. The comforter and sheets were dated and musty. The room was renovated and decent but overall avoid this place 1000%
We check in on Sunday for a few nights. The staff was really friendly. Noticed to small yorkies didn’t think much of it. My dog(German Sheppard) did not even acknowledge them. But they barked at us. The owner of the dogs had to belong to one of the employees because they were excessively out. Every time I want to go out the dogs kept going off. Even other people who would walk by the dogs went off. The little dog room was across them. The owner of the dogs wouldn’t bring them in till 9-10 pm. My kids couldn’t get proper rest. The owners of the dogs were not considerate of the guest. I was going to complain but did not know if the owners of the dogs would get salty. I would not recommend if you’re a light sleeper or trying to relax because you will not get it here. The room was decent but t
