General Smalls Inn

You're downgraded to one star for deleting my review. Here it is again: It's been three years since I last visited but I can't imagine that anything has changed except for the age of the property. If you are trying to decide whether to stay at the General Smalls Inn for your next TDY then you are in luck because as long as they have availability, you have no choice. The hotel offers you the convenience of being on post and within a five minutes or less drive of all that the base has to offer. The five minutes drive is in addition to the 45 minutes, 5K ruck march from your hotel room to the parking lot. Apparently when the hotel was designed there was a requirement to have a huge field somewhere and the committee in charge decided that the order should be hotel, field, parking lot inst

Literally the worst wifi I have ever experienced. The hotel staff were very nice tho and it was a warm place to sleep so I cant complain too much.

The room was very clean and very welcoming. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Great location and easy access to where we needed to be.

Rooms are what you expect for an Army hotel on base. Nice, clean and have an old timey feel. Rooms come with everything you'll need for a short stay. Breakfast is basically grab-and-go pre-packaged items. Comes with a fridge, small stove, utensils, dishwasher and coffee maker. Very nice overall.

Rooms are exactly as pictured and advertised. Clean, comfy bed, it was great for a short stay. The a/c was out for most of the building, but the rooms seemed to work fine. They provided extra floor fans just in case, but my a/c system worked great. 4 stars on service only because we were told "Continental breakfast in the morning. We have eggs, coffee, cereal and everything" and in reality it's just prepackaged goods and some fruit on a counter you can grab. Coffee was available as always. Not a Continental breakfast, so make plans to grab something outside the hotel if you want a full meal.
