Gateway Motel (USA)

We arrived on a Thursday and left on Friday.The first room they put us in, Room 24, didn't have a working tv. We tried everything. We had zero cell phone reception. Could not call or text, complete dead zone. Nobody tends the front desk. Had to drive to town to call them. They moved us to room 46 after admitting that they were upgrading the TV and that one wasn't done yet. Room 46 didn't have ANY hot water in the sink or the shower. The bathroom floor had rocks and someone else's hair clumps, the bathroom door does not latch, and without a coffee maker, there were no cups. I don't think I have ever been in a hotel room that did not have cups. The advertising led me to believe that the restaurant was open everyday. My son and I stayed there nice room up stairs comfortable beds incredible views the staff was very kind to us and made our stay a great one, thank you to J & r.

Where do i start ! Bed mattress was hard as a rock, pillows were the same way , no plastic cups , no coffee pot etc ,the restaurant is closed supposedly . No wifi ,Not worth the money . It use to be a great place .

I had the pleasure of staying at the Gateway Motel in Madawaska, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were not only friendly but also very accommodating to our group's unique needs. Recently purchased land in the area and was looking to spend our money locally. Went against what the reviews were saying and decided to give it a try. If it went well we would continue to use the place. Firstly, the place is barely functional. All the reviews about the hot water are right. Had to let the water run for about 20 minutes before it started to warm up. Here was the kicker that is why you should avoid this place. We had an issue where there was a small amount of blood on the mattress cover. The bedding they used was the cheapest you can find and fair enough would be the cost to replace it. Instead, they charged my card an additional $100. Not a call to resolve the issue, nothing. Just a charge and not a word. Well I hope the $100 was worth losing repeat business in the coming
