Garnet Inn & Suites, Morehead City

The hotel was clean and we enjoyed our stay and our room! They left our room keys in the front entrance and the lobby was locked. There were two other guests room keys there as well. Someone could’ve taken them and gotten into our room and then put them back before we arrived so that was highly unsafe. Besides that, we really had a good night sleep! Trip.com app saved us over $50! Booking through the hotel website was going to be 134.00

This is truly a fisherman's Motel. it is an older motel and while it has had some exterior upgrades, the Interiors are worn. I really can't say the room was nasty, but it really wasn't going. If you have any problems early in the morning though they do not have staff at night.

A classic trait of a hotel thinking the prime location negates cleanliness and maintenance. The phone is not connected to the front office and they never pick up. Notice everybody says there's a mold smell in the room. That is true. Simple maintenance likerecaulking the tub or removing old items that need to be replaced have definitely been negated.

Last minute unplanned trip. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Great restaurant and sight seeing suggestions. Will definitely come back

The location was not what I expected. It’s in a parking lot behind a laundry mat and couple other stores. It was very overpriced in my opinion. The beach or water wasn’t in view much less reachable by walking. The inlet is a few roadways over across some very busy traffic. But not sure about public access there. The parking lot surroundings consisted of some homeless people and animals alike. Which doesn’t bother me because I’ve been on both sides. Just be aware of locking your vehicle it’s common sense. The room itself was not clean. The bathroom was not clean at all. The floors were gross and the overwhelming smell of mold and bronchial sickness was horrible. I didn’t want my family to stay there because my son has had asthma issues throughout life but he insisted it would be fine. I cou
