Garland Hotel

Attention attention attention. Please watch your step and take it slow through the lobby. If it is snowing like it was during my stay from December 12 to December 14, or even just raining, make sure to dry your feet well and walk carefully once you step off the entrance mat. The lobby tile floor is glossy and can be very slippery. It almost feels like walking on glass coated in motor oil, and it would be very easy to slip or damage your phone. Truck drivers, take note. This hotel does offer truck parking whether you are bobtailing or pulling a 53 foot trailer. I strongly recommend calling the hotel ahead of time to confirm availability and see if other trucks are already parked on the property. There is a red dirt lot just past the hotel on the right. This is a gem...Exhausted from driving all day, I found The Garland thru Hotwire. Very clean and quiet. Nice firm bed, very spacious room. I arrived a bit later in the evening and couldnt find a restaurant, so that was a bit of an issue...but I found a salad at the Sheetz across the street. I was pleasantly surprised.

The Garland Hotel is the best kept secret in eastern Ohio. We stayed the night before visiting The Wilds. The kitchenette had a wonderful bar and extremely clean. Nice large, updated showers with good water pressure! The beds were super comfortable with a hot breakfast and cookies during the day.|Staff was nice and the hotel was quiet. It's 10 minutes to many restaurants. Nice outdoor sitting area, has a small gym and a gas station nearby. We would stay again at that price if the opportunity arises!

The location is excellent! The building looks brand new from the exterior. The entrance and lobby are impressive when you enter. I paid the extra money for a suite. Walking to the room from the elevator, there are many stains on the carpet. We entered the room which was spacious and bright. I walked over to open the curtains and noticed several dead flies on the ground. I then walked over to the window and on the way, noticed several others. There was also a crumb on the bedding. I asked the front desk of they could vacuum the room while we ran back out for a bit. Once we returned there was a dead fly on the bathroom vanity/sink. Delightful stay in December to see nearby Christmas decorations in Cambridge, Ohio and then visit family in the area. The hotel leaned into its name “Garland” and had plenty of festive holiday decorations throughout the lobby and breakfast area. Spaces were clean and comfortable, with the free breakfast offering many options to please all in our party.
