What an absolutely wonderful place to roll into at the end of a day riding the GAP. There was an awesome and much needed bike wash station. The showers were super clean with plenty of space and privacy. The kitchen area under the pavilion was awesome, with self-serve coffee, a clean up sink and plenty of fresh water. The sitting area was very comfortable and provided plenty of outlets for charging. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was the nicest campground I have ever stayed at. They really put a lot of thought into making it an enjoyable camping experience. I felt the cost was a little high, but then I discovered all of the amenities.

Very nice stay while riding the GAP, perfect stop over for Montour trail=>glassport=>GAP at MCkeesport day 1 ride, Very close to the trail and well marked. Central pavilion allows for charging of ebikes and devices, as well as catching up on TV, coffee, etc. Two large tents where you can put up your tent, or pavilion is ideal for hammock camping. Riverside spots also available. Easy walking distance to food trucks, restaurants, and a Rite Aid for any needed supplies. Hassle free check in and departure. Some train and road noise as expected when camping on GAP near a trail town. Stayed there he same time as 3 other groups who were all very nice. Laundry optins (hand washing with washboard with all supplies available) a good option i would plan for next time.

Truly a piece of The Shire. I enjoyed the simplicity of the outdoors, while also having access to clean, comfortable facilities. They have tents in case you forgot to bring something to cover your gear. There are posts so you can hang a hammock. There is a beautiful view of the river. Multiple fire pits for campfires. A comfortable covered porch with places to relax and read. The bathrooms and showers were not only clean and well-maintained, but charming. As a Lord of the Rings fan, I greatly enjoyed all the hobbit-themed decor. I will be back!

I've ridden the length of the GAP three times now, most recently as part of a Detroit to DC ride. This campsite is easily the best I've been to in my life, and my favorite bikepacking stop of all time. Arrived after dark on a demanding 100 mile day that involved a flat tire, a mile's worth of vertical feet climbed, riding through thunderstorms in traffic north of Pittsburgh. Was delighted to arrive at such a beautiful campsite, and absolutely stunned to discover the electrical lights that allowed me to unpack the bike and make camp with ease. And thrilled to be able to wash off the bike with the handy bike wash, allowing me to lube the drivetrain to ready the bike for the next day's 117 miles to Cumberland. The story of this campsite is in the details, and all the meticulous work the own
