Galaxie Motel

The room was refreshing. It was nicely decorated and it smelt floral. The water pressure was excellent. The bedding was beautiful. Clean, and soft. They had a coffee maker in the room with delicious coffee. They had an oversized refrigerator/freezer. Wonderful room. Great staff. Great place.

Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was helpful and kind. Though this hotel is older, it checks all the boxes for a budget stay.

When we got there there was a Pest Control truck in the driveway so I shouldnt have been surprised BUUUUT The owner was nice until we found a bug in the room. After that he started avoiding us and the room was “no refunds” if I was ANYONE I would look for anywhere else if u don’t want to sleep with bugs.

Great location for an event next to the school. The owners are quite kind, the rooms are cleaner than many big chains and have all the necessary amenities expected from a motel. There is personal pride evident from the lovely owners, who have been here for over 30 years, directly involved in their operations. I saw Bob going through rooms when I checked in early. Easily walkable to coffee, several yummy food options and the hardware store.

This is the second time I tried to rent from this female manager, and she has been disrespectful to me. First time I was checking in, told her for only myself and my care dog She questioned me 5 times if I had a man with me. Then tried to rent a room upstairs. I told her I was disabled and couldn't walk upstairs. She refused, she also had rooms downstairs. Today same thing this manager gave me the price said I had to pay 50 dollars for the dog ,it would be returned following day. I said fine. Then she said I had to pay a 20 dollar non return for the dog I said why? she said the dog wasn't my care dog , I said the owner died,and I take care of her. Then I said fine ok. I paid that and left to get ready to call in. She then called me back to the office and said she's never collected the
