Fritz's Island Campground & Tubing

I've been staying at Fritz's Island Campgrounds & using them to tube for probably 15 years. Always friendly & easy to work with, beautiful campground and nice tubes. Very well organized & great at accommodating all the different size of groups. I'll continue to use them & recommend all my friends & family to use them as well!

My family had such a great time at Fritz's Island Campground! Jayne made our stay so easy. She made sure to find us the campsite that would work best for us, came to check on us multiple times, and even sold us replacement marshmallows after a thieving raccoon got the first bag! The grounds, including the showers and bathrooms, we're very well maintained. They also made our tube trip super fun and easy. I'd highly recommend booking with Fritz's Island!

We tent camped here on a Friday and Saturday night in July and tubed down the Niobrara River on Saturday. Jayne was super kind and helpful. We were grateful as this was our first time tubing. Our spot was large, level, shaded, fairly private, and our parking spot was adjacent. We did pick up a bit of trash and a lot of sticks before setting up camp. However, sticks are an expected part of shade;) The whole camp was green and well-kept. Quiet hours start at 11pm, however, there didn't seem to be anyone enforcing that. There were a number of large groups and most were quiet and calm after 11p. Our tent neighbors were a different story. They had a loud speaker and Friday night they partied until 2am and Saturday until at least 12p. I know if we had complained the staff would have tr

Fantastic Campground. My fraternity recently camped out at Fritz. There was around 40 of us. They gave us our own secluded area right on the river, very beautiful. The bus driver was awesome who took us up the river to float down. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Convenient shop with showers, ice, hot dogs, frisbees, other camping essentials. 5/5 would recommend, can’t wait to go again next summer.

We love this place! They have wonderful spacious camping setups, clean showers, supplies in the store and a friendly staff. It makes a perfect family vacation spot.
