Fred's Tent & Trailer Park

Saint Joseph’s Island itself is fantastic and Fred’s is a great way to explore it. It is walking distance into Richards Landing, a little town with a great café, an ice cream shop, and a nice looking restaurant on the pier. The campground itself is mostly seasonal and the drive-in sites are somewhat open but well serviced with full hook up. The washrooms are well maintained and clean. And the price of $45 a night for full hook up is hard to beat. Really love this island as it has a great East Coast kind of vibe.

Really liked the park, lovely people. Had to leave early and the owner's refunded half our money. Never expected this kind of compassion and we really appreciated the kindness. Thank you so much, if we're ever in this area again we will differently stay here and recommend our friends.

We stayed a week in a 32’ fifth wheel. Sites are large and level with fire pit and picnic tables. Staff and seasonal campers are very friendly. Short walk across the road to beach and playground. Easy walk into town for groceries, LCBO and restaurant. Laundry is very clean. Didn’t use public restrooms because of Covid. We came to bike and kayak and the island didn’t disappoint us! So many roads to explore and small islands to kayak around. We will be back one day.

Good place for camping, lots of people have been there for years! They are so friendly. The laundromat is open all the time, good machines. Even ones special for work clothes. Very close to the beach, just a walk away.

Staff /management are friendly and very helpful. Laundry facility is available to the public which is what I go there for. The park looks well maintained and well setup.
