Customer Reviews
I explored a new State park in Alabama. This was a drive by that I did. I was a little busy looking for buying a new house here in Alabama that this State park was near. I noticed they can handle 30 RV spots. With water and sewer and 50 amp service plug-in. Very clean surrounding with many walking trails. Many amenities here, playgrounds, large showers rooms, fishing, boat launch, primitive camping. This where your kids can play and run themselves out. Cabins available too. Golf carts excepted. Not sure about ATVs. Check out some of pictures. You won't be disappointed.
This is a beautiful park! There’s no attendant when I entered the park, but there’s a small box by the shed door where you can drop your park fee in exact change only. There’s a wheelchair accessible restroom by the parking lot near the playground area/picnic area.
Great place to go for a walk. Also camping, fishing and a playground for kids with BBQ spots.
Stopped here for a picnic lunch on the way to Florida. Very clean park and restroom facilities. Nice lake and walking trails from the picnic area to an island. Maybe a 0.75 mile loop.
Frank Jackson’s is a nice place for relaxing and unwinding. WiFi is provided and it makes all the difference with streaming shows and ball games. Unfortunately, the children’s park is a good distance from the campsites, so keep that in mind if you have kiddos that want to play independently. The views are great for the RV sites along the lake, with decent shade for the majority of those sites. There are a few sites on the backside of the campground, that aren’t shaded at all and do not have lake views, but you’re close to the bathroom and bathhouse, which is large and kept tidy. However, the bathroom that’s located in the tent camping section, is super sketch, but it serves its purpose. Side note: don’t bother going to the DG Marketplace on Main St. Our encounters have been less than plea
