Fort Sam Houston RV Park

Beautiful! Who would have expected deep woods, oak trees, lots of grass and so quiet - right in the middle of San Antonio? I was pleased that Google Maps was spot on directing me here. I checked in after the office closed. My check in information was posted with my site number. The campground host came to check to see who I was and to see if I needed help reading the map. No problem there and the fact that the campground host was right on top of who was driving into the campground gave me a stronger sense of site security.

We stayed here for 4 nights for our last family vacation to San Antonio and we loved it. Quiet, easy to use, plenty of amenities nearby both on post and off, and in a location near everything. Amenities were clean and efficient, huge shaded playground, and large paved level pads. The trains never bothered us, we slept great!||This place would be a bargain at twice the price!

Best FAMCAMP in the states! Perfect location. Great staff!! Staff are so helpful, diligent, professional, and great pride in doing great work! We love staying at this campground. It is always well-groomed and superbly managed!

The staff are friendly, the sites are even, and the location is very convenient for many attractions nearby. There is always a park host available to assist if you run into issues. There's a cute dog oark and playground and the RV Park has small burst of woods on the edges to help you feel like you're not right on a military installation. But you'll know you are because of the bugle calls you'll hear coming from base! The biggest downfall is the noise from the nearby train crossings and hospital. But you'll feel safe and secure here being on a militarybase and surrounded by neighbors who have all served their country. Great spot! Definitely recommend.

Great place to stay. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Sites are level and large. Would definitely stay here again!!
