Fort Lewis Lodge & Farm

Beautiful place to stay. Family owned and definitely feels that way. Very warm and inviting, beautiful property. Highly recommend the trails and just taking it all in. Did a fun photoshoot as well. If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton and a spa, this is not your vibe. But it’s the perfect getaway from the city to make you appreciate simple things and enjoy nature and all the animals on the property. Food was also excellent - like a true home cooked, farm to table style meal. Breakfast and lunch is included and we loved it.

Loved our stay at Fort Lewis Lodge! The property is breathtaking. 3,300 acres of peace, trails, and mountain views. Perfect spot to unplug, relax, and soak in nature and scenery. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely the best experience! The family that runs it is so friendly. Carol is a wizard for making such nourishing, tasty meals each day. Also, they accommodated my nut allergy and took it seriously. We stayed in the Charles Lewis Cottage and for us it was worth the money to have the deck to sit on in the morning, and have a fire at night. Absolutely beautifully decorated. It's far off the beaten path, not even a gas station for 20 minutes, so don't forget anything! Wifi was strong enough to make phone calls/send emails if you need to do that while you're there. We had a wonderful weekend to relax, read, play cards (in the drawer in the room), play Frisbee golf, ping pong, and go hiking. Highly recommend if you want to get away and relax and no distractions.

We just returned from a two day two night (not long enough) stay at Fort Lewis Lodge and enjoyed it so much. Great to see old friends Caryl and John the innkeepers. Beautiful fishing and will great food. Love This place.

The only word to describe Fort Lewis Lodge is simply - magical. This was my first time visiting rural Virginia, all the way from Australia, and I have never come across a more serene and beautiful property. Absolutely everything is top notch here. The stunning nature and scenery, the beautiful property, the food (I never go for seconds and I just inhaled every single thing on the menu). I wish I could have stayed more than 2 nights and I'm already thinking of the next time I can come back to this little slice of heaven. If you want peaceful seclusion, this is the spot for you!
