Fort Leonard Wood MWR RV Park

Excellent campground. Extremely convenient for family day and graduation. Full hook up, large concrete level sites- $32 a night. There are no bathrooms or showers. There is no shade but eventually the trees will grow. If they added facilities it would be perfect.

We called ahead to book, but no one answered or returned our call after leaving a message. We went by the office, which is down the road from the campground, but it was locked with a sign saying they were closed Sept 30 for paperwork, or something. We went back to the campground and picked a spot hoping someone didn't already reserve it. There were at least 5 empty spaces so we felt ok doing that. No one came and knocked so we were good. We went to pay in the morning, and when we pulled up, I saw the door was ajar, but by the time my husband got out and went to open the door someone had closed it and locked it. It was 9:10, and the sign said they open at 10:00. We weren't going to wait around an hr. To pay. We will pay if they ever get around to calling us back, I guess.

This is a great little RV Park. Sites are concrete pads and are nice and level. There are not any frills but all the post/base resources are available.

The beginnings of a high quality RV park if they would add a shower facility and bathroom and have the ability to get to support facilities because its location is miles from any store. There need to be picnic table and some overhead cover or at least a Pavillion with cover as there isn't any shade and the new trees will take years to provide shade.

We came and stayed for our son’s graduation from basic training. Large concrete pads with full hookups made this a great place to stay. We were close to everything - Nutter Fieldhouse, PX and commissary. You have to call to verify you’re still in the same spot they gave you when you booked and to pay any balance. No one is on-site. Read instructions on hooking your water up! Driving around base we saw lots of deer. Recommend Colton’s Steakhouse and Agave Azteca Mexican if you’re looking for food off base. Can’t beat it for $32 a night!!
