Beautiful campground. Lots to do and see in the area, beaches are really nice and my husband loves the fishing and kayaking. I do agree that pets should be yes or no across the board for pets. We love the dog beach, and the dog park they have close by. My only two issues are that there is no recycling bins at all. The second is laundry. You have to go to the park store to get quarters for laundry, each load is 4.00 to wash and dry a load. I have gone 5 times in 2 weeks for change. 2 of those times the person working did not know how to open the cash register ( just filling in) Another 2 times they could only give me two dollars in quarters? If you want to get people to do their laundry there you should have a seperate quarter supply that is accessible for anyone on shift to get change from
Why is the reason to have pets and no pets area? I visited many other campgrounds in Florida (we are locals), Georgia and Tennessee which they are either pet or not at all. This is my 2nd opportunity staying on this campground. On this second time we decided to take a look at no pet area. It seems much cleaner with barely any debris on the ground. On our 1st visit 3 years ago the site was on fair condition. This time our site 112 was a swamp. This site was next to the outside road. It did smell and look like it too. On our 3 days we didn't see anyone cleaning those when people head out of their sites. On the no pets we noticed sites getting clean and even a digger leveling sites that look much better than ours with fresh gravel/dirt. We never used their table nor the grill. You can even no
3rd time staying here. The location is great for boating and kayaking. The sites are ok and mostly level. Must bring your own fire barrel or rent one daily from camp store, crazy 🤪. Biggest issue is the daily closure of the restrooms and showers for cleaning. Seemed like every day 8am-9am they would clean them just as everyone woke and needed to use them. Why not clean between 11am and 2pm? Isn't that the point of check out and check in times. Also they didnt clean out shower drains, lots of hair in stall drains right after they finished cleaning. Bring bug spray or long sleeves for the no see ums. And the raccoons will take any opportunity to raid unsupervised tasty loot! The views and nearby coastal activities are endless if you love the outdoors.
Great place to fish and kayaking. Had hot showers and was pretty quiet for the most part. Good store on site if you forgot anything or if you need some ice cream. FYI, You need to bring your own fire pit. Wood is $14 a bundle versus $8 at Publix for the same size.
Nice clean campground. Nice flat spaces to camp. There are raccoons who try to visit your garbage at night if left out but very harmless. I understand why reservations are 6 months out. Wish paid parking at beach areas in park was included with your stay. Stayed in pet friendly site. Was a great time to just relax
