FIRST CABIN INTERNATIONAL HAWAII

Great experience! This place was even better than expected. Unlike a hostel, this ‘capsule’ hotel actually provides some privacy and plenty of storage for luggage and valuables.Fabulous location, friendly efficient staff, and  immaculate facility. They supply everything needed - towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, even toothbrush and paste!I thought I would feel claustrophobic in those pods but actually it felt very light and airy. And the sliding door locks from the inside, so I slept very much at ease.Literally the only downside was the parking - like in any big city, street parking is a disaster and it can be prohibitively expensive in the parking garages. Fortunately there’s one just around the corner from the hotel, which has competitive pricing for 24/7 parking.

Great pod hotel! ||Some insight for Americans looking to try it out. It mostly caters to Asian / international clientele, which is where pod hotels originated. That being said, very welcoming. ||The pod itself is in a gender segregated room. Each room has a door code so only those in your area can access. The privacy door in pod is a pull down screen, so you can hear anything from the other pods. That being said, my section was absolutely silent though all pods were occupied. ||Bathroom area is also code accessed, and has one room with individual shower stalls and other with toilet stalls. Then a communal sink area. ||Storage lockers are on the opposite end of the hallway, but also accessed via code. The laundry machines, while a nice touch, are only available after 7pm. ||Down side for me

This is a great pod hotel, it is a step up from the hostels. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and the value is very high. The only things that could be added here are more laundry capacity, a space to hang wet bathing suits and towels and white noise makers to block out sound in the pod areas. I would recommend this location and would stay here again.

I'm not 100% sure why First Cabin is so highly rated. I'm only guessing it's because people's standards are low when it comes to pod/hostel/capsule type places. I don't have a lock in my room so I had to put my valuables in the lockers down the hall OR take them with me. Not convenient at all. The restrooms are disgusting (Sorry for the gross pics), amenities are out of order, the beds feel like you're sleeping on a boxspring. I'd leave but apparently they have no refund policy so I'm stuck here for the next 2 days. 🙄 THEN someone's alarm went off at 3:30am and they didn't wake up to turn it off for 15 minutes. Needless to say, I was UNABLE to go back to sleep. I'll give it 1 star ONLY because of the location, otherwise, it'd get ZERO.

Great service. Fresh towels daily. The shower was always clean, and soaps (shampoo/conditioner) was always filled. I am a bus rider and bus stops are within minutes away Modern toilet bowls (heated seats). Restaurants and boutique stores are in walking distance. Basically all I needed was available. Definitely be back to stay here.
