Farmington Motel

I was looking for a quiet place, comfortable rooms without lots of frills and reasonably priced. The Farmington Motel hit my requirements very nicely. Dorothy greeted me and immediately addressed a problem with my reservation. She handled it professionally and quickly. I had booked two reservations because while booking the first one a message displayed saying my payment could not be processed. I was taken back to the reservation page which was blank. So I filled in my information s second time. The result was two reservations. Dorothy fixed it and the charge never actually hit my credit card. I asked about good places to eat and Dorothy recommended some that I found excellent. She also let me know the town fair was happening that weekend. The room was clean. My bed was comfortable. I have to give a big shout out to Dorothy the manager at Farmington Motel. Dorothy was an absolute life saver last year. I sold my house and the deal I was going into fell through and I couldn't find a place to live. I have 2 very small elderly dogs and my disabled son. Farmington motel came through with a motel suite with a kitchenette and I was able to have my dogs. Dorothy and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. Room was cleaned daily. They help me get through a truly rough patch in my life. And it made all the difference. I would highly recommend Farmington Motel.||I stayed six months Jan-June 2024

We have been staying here for a month while my husband works. The absolute best part of this motel is Ms.Dorothy , the lady who manages the motel she is here 24/7 . she has accommodated us in every way possible. The suite we have has been remodeled, it has everything we needed , a bigger fridge , toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot. The TV is huge and the WiFi has worked really well .. The land here is beautiful with plenty of grassy field for our kids to play . It has a gorgeous view , and they mowed a trail down to sandy river and it is absolutely beautiful.. yes it is an older motel, but I prefer that myself it has ALOT of character...We have enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again .

I called to reserve a room for 5 nights. They charged me 87 dollars and change for a deposit to hold my reservation. I called earlier in the day of arrival to cancel my reservation due to I was not going to make it. There was no information told to me about them keeping my deposit for a cancelation when i called to reserve the room. As there website says free cancelation. I find this false advertisement. As well as an attitude when I called to cancel. I find this very unprofessional and bad business. I will not be reserving with this company in the future. I would advise people to be aware of this company.

You're considering this place because it's cheap so don't expect the Taj Mahal and you'll be happy. Rooms were clean. Renovation was done on a budget but everything functions and serves its purpose. It's a nice little spot away from the tourist traffic and prices. If you're offended by green bathtubs, bad caulk jobs and yellow tile, go somewhere else. If you want a quiet place with clean linens, without spending $200, this is your place.
