Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA Journey

Beautiful location. Cabin was very clean. Linens and towels were white and clean. Fenced yard perfect for our little dog. Nice wooden deck with table and chairs. Very nice outside sink, grill and fire pit and outside shower. Very quiet. Nice gift shop.

This KOA is located right at the entrance to the Blueridge Parkway, in beautiful serene surroundings. They have a well-stocked general store, a fishing pond, and a swimming pool; as well as a well maintained clubhouse (which I protected to hop on a zoom call for work). Staff y friendly and accommodating. They offer freshly made sandwiches and pizza for added convenience. What stood out to me was how clean the facilities and grounds are; we really appreciate that!

As a rule, KOA is not our first choice for camping due to previous experiences of overcrowding. We had plans to attend Virginia Tech football game, weather forecast great for tent camping. We LOVE it here! Staff wonderful delivering ice and wood that can be ordered just as hotel room service. Site 84 is perfect for us. Level tent site with each site having wooden shelter perfect for stove, coolers, storing chairs, etc. Grill, electricity, and water provided. Showers and bathrooms are individual heated, tiled rooms, no trying to stay private with flimsy shower curtains. Cleaned multiple times daily. We will definitely return and highly recommend Fancy Gap KOA!

This is one of the best camping experiences I've ever had. The campground is beautiful and well cared for and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Already excited for my next trip.

What a great campground!! We LOVED our stay here. We have camped all across the country in an RV and this is one of the nicest we've found. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating and there are plenty of things to do. Very clean. We will definitely be back!
