Family Camp Kirtland AFB RV Park

The Fam Camp at Kirkland is a large and very nice camp facility for military ID cardholders. The large gravel sites will accommodate most RVs and trailers, and even towed accessories. The full hookup sites are fairly level and easy to enter and exit. The camp has several shower facilities, laundry, ice machine, a dog washing station, a separate dump station ($5 for non-guests), and even a propane refill station. The camp is close to the parade grounds which has a partially shaded 3/4 mile walking path. Other base amenities such as a bowling alley, theater, commissary, exchange, gas and outdoor recreation are within 1 1/2 miles of the camp. Level gravel sites with 50 amp service, sewer and water. Enjoyed our stay! Laundry machines all worked and the staff is friendly and helpful. First come first served, no reservations but lots of sites.

We stayed in our rv there. It was awesome. The location was good and the attendant even put up cones for us when we were out and about. There were plenty of clean public bathrooms with showers. The Airmen at the gates were very helpful. Just make sure you drive around the campsite and pick a location that works for you. Some of the sites are dry camp sites. And you don’t want to do the paperwork, pay, and then discover that it doesn’t have a water hook up.

We stayed overnight when we were heading westbound and again when coming back. Both visits were excellent. Late checkin went smoothly and we were very happy with our spots. No problems. Showers and toilets in trailer are excellent. Ice machine in laundry room was a nice bonus. Staff is courteous, friendly, and helpful. Great job!

Always a good stay here. Nice large spaces, easy pull through. Convenient location.
