Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Somerset

I traveled from Florida to New Bedford for a family funeral and needed a place to stay overnight. After doing several searches, I came across this hotel. I was a little hesitant at first because many other places had bad reviews, but this one seemed more reliable and accessible for my needs. Once we arrived, we were amazed. The staff who greeted us were incredibly kind, welcoming, and warm. The entire place smelled fresh and relaxing, almost like a spa. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and way better than expected. The breakfast in the morning was perfect — everything was fresh and really good. Overall, I give this place five stars. I will definitely stay here again anytime I’m in New Bedford — hopefully under better circumstances, but I’ll absolutely be back.

This hotel is beautiful and we like it because it is near our daughter. The only issue is two years in a row our sleep has been interrupted the first year by a drunk pounding on our first floor window non-stop one night. This year, a bus was parked under our 4th floor room and left running all night. This will be our last time staying there.

Amazing staff. My 2 day stay turned into a 13 day stay due to my mom passing and the the epic blizzard of 2026. They accommodated every request I needed. Hands down 5 plus.

Great hotel for the price. Delightful helpful staff. Quiet. Comfortable. Easy to get to and the tvs allow streaming from Netflix, Prime, etc, so bring your sign in info. I travel a lot and this was a good stay.

The most friendly staff work here. My stay was exceptional. And my experience was even better after I left. When I returned home I realized my custom leather belt was missing. I called the hotel and they had it stored in the lost and found. They took the time to carefully wrap and package it up, and then promptly drop it off at the post office. Thank you so much for your honesty, integrity and kindness!
