Fairbury Executive Suites

Nestled in the Fairbury town square, the Fairbury Executive Suites is a small town gem. Located on the second floor of one of the town's historic buildings, it is a vacation stay you will remember. There are between 7 and 9 different rooms (can't remember exactly how many), or apartments with full kitchens. All of them are tastefully decorated and very comfortable and homey feeling. There are 1 and 2 bedroom units available. This does not feel like a hotel at all, but rather like you are returning home at the end of the day. Satellite television and wifi are included. The room I stayed in was decorated nicely, comfortable and homey. The shower had great pressure and the kitchen would've been easy to cook in if I had had the time to do so. Check in and out was easy. I was there to hunt so I left early and got in late. Julie, the owner was a super hostess and accommodated my obtuse scheduling needs. She is also makes great coffee. I have stayed at the other hotels in Fairbury over the years and this is easily the best. I wish I would've known about the Executive Suites earlier.

We were in town for First Fridays and the band Skretta Etc. Our suite was above the wine tasting room! There are a lot of stairs which gives one time to build the excitement of walking into what I consider an apartment! What a breath of fresh air! The rooms were nicely decorated and very spacious! The shower was big and had fantastic water pressure. There was no place open after the band was done to eat, so I cooked my husband a lovely dinner right in the kitchen! Everything I needed was in the drawers: except the food! It was an amazing way to cap off a wonderful evening. As we were waiting for the dinner to cook we could hear the clock on the courthouse counting off the hours- very romantic setting. We ended up with this accommodation after another that we booked with the same owners had plumbing issue. The space was very comfortable. WiFi worked well. Kitchen was well equipped except it needs a few more serving utensils. Our bathroom was very small and had a fiberglass enclosure that had a bit of dark stain or mold and a plastic shower head. Not what I expecting given the tile in another unit which looked very clean. The overall comfort and space outshines the few negative issues and for the price I can say it is a great value. Given another visit to Fairbury this would be where I'd stay

As someone that travels a lot and as I speak am writing in a cramped hotel room my experience at Fairbury Executive Suites was fantastic and unique. When I entered my suite I was relieved. I saw a leather couch, huge room, nice sized bathroom and a lot of space. After setting my things down I found that there were several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and enjoyed a nice walk through the downtown area to Rowdy's. When I got back to the suite I was able to get on a comfortable couch and do some work while watching the playoffs....I felt like I was at home. I always have trouble sleeping but not that night. The bed was incredibly comfortable as were the sheets and comforter. In the morning I throughout enjoyed walking downstairs to the coffee shop and grabbed a muffi
