Extended Stay America Select Suites- Chicago - Hanover Park

Read the previous reviews - we aren’t the first ones to experience this. When we arrived a little after midnight for our 3 night stay, the doors were locked, no one was there to let us in until we called the operator and had a “remote” check in process. After we were let in they claimed our booking had vanished, and that we were marked as a no show. We called booking.com through which we had booked the reservation and they said it hadn’t been marked a no show. Utter confusion all around, the hotel said they couldn’t check us in or refund us, and the night attendant was utterly incompetent and completely unhelpful. He just kept repeating “it’s booked from a third party, there’s nothing I can do” as if that was on the license plate of the car that hit him and drove away. Eventually after an

Positive: "" Negative: Desk staffing is extremely limited. Check in cuts off at 2am, so when I arrived after diving 10 hours at 2:20am, I had to find another hotel. Desk doesn't open until 10am. Elevator broke, no garbage cans (for dog waste), no coffee maker in room or lobby.

Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned, Fridge, counter tops, most of the furniture with scuffs. Rooms have zero tableware, come on, not even a single cup or a plate - Extended stay?But don’t worry they offer all of that for $40 on top of your room charge. Location is good, front desk guy is cool, but all other things are definitely not worth it and need to be updated/fixed.

This Extended Stay is great! I have stayed at one in Gurnee before and it was gross, had bed bugs, etc... This one is extremely clean, staff is very professional. I highly recommend Hanover Park.

Been staying at ESA during looking into a new residence for my family and the staff are all very friendly and very helpful with small bothersome copies of forms and anytime I needed a rubber band or 1 "AA" battery T has come through for me! Plus I love the fact that it has a kitchen with nice size fridge and 2 electric burners along with multiple cabinets.|Making the reservations online very easy to make and saves $$$ esp. if you become an ESA member. My family and I been good staying here with the fact there's no lease.
