Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Miami - Airport - Miami Springs

When we checked in, we were given a downgraded room. When we asked, we were told that the room we booked (edited: and fully pre paid for )was overbooked and given away. The first solution, we will give you two rooms for the two of you! That made no sense. We ended up getting a room almost like what we booked, but not quite, and Im pretty sure it's a lower cost room. When we got to our new room, neither of the key cards worked, back down to reception. Got in the room, and the pictures online are definitely staged, touched up pictures. Way more run down than I expected. When you leave the front desk and head to the elevator, you are meet with a pungent odor of musty mildew and stale air, and most of the hallways are the same, there is no air movement. This place is horrible. They do not have a pool even though one is advertised. We came here after a cruise thinking we would hang out by the pool until our room would be ready at 3pm. So we went to a pool next door and had to pay $45 for our family to stay at their pool until our room was ready. Shocker... our room wasn't ready. We are still waiting. The front desk staff has done nothing to make it up to us. Their response was "we can cancel your booking if you'd like". Very unsatisfied and will not be coming back. Don't stay here. Update we got in our room. Took a shower with no water pressure, no hair dryer and no fan in the bathroom. Also when we asked for more pillows for the pull out couch they said they had no more pillows. We pulled out the couch for our bed and it was just a mattr

This was the worst experience I've ever had. I wish I had read the Google reviews before booking this terrible hotel. Nothing worked properly. The breakfast was a scam; you only get a Twinkie-like muffin and coffee that you have to brew yourself. The muffin my son picked up from the stand had mold on it (see photo). ||||Additionally, there were unprotected electrical wires hanging from the ceiling in the lobby and the breakfast area, which was unsafe. When we finally got into our room, it smelled awful, and there was dog hair all over the sofa. I sprayed a lot of perfume in the room, but the smell wouldn't go away. Positive: "" Negative: Run down. Room did not reflect the pictures. No couch, no chair, no kitchen island. Main room had a desk and 2 dirty office chairs. Broken AC unit. 1 remote for 2 TV's. Food on side of fridge. WIFI was out for hours. Pool was closed.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Jackie and the entire staff were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel itself is stunning, and the room was large, clean, and extremely comfortable. The layout made it feel like a real home away from home—what a wonderful touch! Breakfast was delicious and convenient; one less meal to worry about. Despite being only minutes from Miami International Airport, the area was surprisingly quiet and safe. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!
