It was quiet and quaint. The owners work to make your stay nice. The rooms are older and the towels thin, but the bed was soft, it was clean, and the AC worked.

This is a perfect hotel for the Missions of Goliad bike ride as it is just a couple of blocks away from the main square and easily bikable to event. The room is clean but if you are used to many hotel amenities then not for you. This is very basic hotel of long ago, which for overnight to do a bike ride is perfect. The staff was very nice.

Positive: Close to everything I wanted to do for my two day stay. Friendly people Negative: Power outlet did not work on sink counter and none of the vent fans worked in the bathroom. Also very poor lighting. I had to move the lamp stand around to get lights to use the desk.

I know some few people complain, but I do not understand, in general, why. This is an older motel style hotel. The room was scrupulously clean. For an old place, that takes a LOT of effort and commitment. Some fixtures in the bathroom were ancient and need replacing, but it was plain to see that improvements were made over time. Complaints about towels or other details are plainly ridiculous. You get WAY more than what you pay for. It’s a clean, inexpensive place to stay. You want modern luxuries, then be willing to pay for them. This is a family working very hard to provide clean and affordable rooms. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

We were tent camping in the area and a severe thunderstorm came up at 1am so we loaded our 4 children and came into town for a safe place for the night. The night host was very rude. Online, rooms are $48-$54. She charged us $75 and seemed to come up with a number out of the air after arguing we needed 2 rooms since there were 6 of us. (4 kids under 10). Then our cc randomly declined at first and she acted very rudely suspicious as she yanked the key back until we supplied a new card. In the morning when my husband went to return the key he waited for the host to return the key in person, just to be polite. The same host came in and impatiently rolled her eyes and motioned to the key drop box without saying a word to him. As far as the room goes, it was clean and comfortable. But, there w
