I stayed here for a few nights on my way from Pennsylvania to Florida. The location is very convenient and it’s also very quiet here. I came in after hours and there is plenty of signage that made it easy for me to find my campsite and the electrical box was lit up so I was able to get my electric and water hooked up in the dark. I would definitely stay here again.

Cabin 1’s space heater was essentially useless. It was set to 70 degrees, but the cabin never got above 51, and it dropped to 46 overnight. I spent the entire night freezing because the heater simply did not work.||When I called on January 5 to report the issue, the front desk told me I “should have called after hours,” despite the fact that no after‑hours number was provided anywhere. That excuse was not only unhelpful—it was absurd.||They offered no reimbursement, no apology, and no accountability for failing to maintain their cabins, even for KOA Rewards members. The staff member I spoke with insisted no one had ever complained before and acted completely indignant instead of addressing the problem.||If you’re thinking about staying here, don’t. Drive a little further go to the Emporia,

I would not stay here again. The store is closed on Sundays so we could not get any supplies and nothing close by. Driveway is very narrow as are sites, barely room for slide out. Site not level side to side or front to back. Wifi is terrible, only allows connection to 1 device, no cable tv. No idea if store or bathrooms have anything or were clean as all was closed. Very loud music until 11:30 pm and again at 4 am. No quiet hours observed at all.

This Journey KOA is very conveniently located next to I 95. It is rustic. Surfaces are gravel with spots of grass here and there. The rest room is clean and brightly lit. The welcome center is classic KOA A-frame. The surrounding area is poorly maintained with signs of algae on the ice machine and weeds in the play area.

This is an older RV Park and a good size (65 +/- sites) it seems to be in the middle of a remodeling project. The electric hookups and water lines appear to be recently updated. The mostly level gravel spots are off gravel access roads - not a ton of space between sites, but we did not find it offensive. The hookups are convenient and functioned properly. No cable tv, not much chance for satellite coverage (trees) but enough OTA stations for basic programming. Their included WiFi was good - always providing a signal that was useful, Verizon cell service is good. Not much of a destination, it is close enough to the highway and is quiet.
