Emerald Beach Hotel Corpus Christi, TX

We arrived and no one was around. It was a bit spooky. One person in front desk. He was nice but come to find out no bar, no beach bar, no restaurant and the place looked dingy, gritty and very old looking. Our room also very old but relatively clean. Tv had guide that didn’t work. Called front desk as we could not find ESPN. Danny ( hotel tech) came and was very helpful showing us how tv “worked”. Tv channels all mixed up. We saw only two other older ladies the whole time we stayed there. Due to a home emergency we only stayed 1 night. We had paid for 2. We did not even stroll the hotel beach area. Would not recommend as hotel needs a major remodeling and as is not worth the money we paid.

The worst experience ever!! As soon as we got the key to the room and went to the room opened the door the floor full of sand and the air not working and a horrible noise coming from the vent, we went to the front desk with all out belongings and they gave us another room we go in again the floor super musty and smelled so much like mold and the air not working again we went to the front desk we looked so dumb walking back and forth with our belonging they gave us another room and we found a lot of spiders, a small rat ran from under the couch to the balcony, no toilet paper, no hand soap and only one towel.. it was super hot I went to go ask for the manager but he was not there I took pictures of everything the manager is super to call me tomorrow if he don’t I will file to the state so

Front desk is horrible, noone is ever there, no one ever answers the phone they are understaffed. The rooms are way outdated ridiculous prices. I should and will go on North Beach next time for the price I paid and then the room was not well kept and not because housekeepers it's more not kept up to par like the owners needs to spend money not for them and their family and also have a breakfast at least and also have a faster refund on deposit payout, ridiculous. I have worked at small family owned hotels and big named hotels and I can honestly say they need to go to seminars and be more open minded especially since the hotel is on the perfect spot and perfect view just was sad for the birthday party we had, the chair was worn out, hole in the wall, floor panels lifting, there was sound of

Horrible, from the start I knew something was going to go wrong. As we were standing in line to get our room key, we noticed there was already a long line but the people in the line either were asking for a refund or complaining that their room was a mess. After receiving our room key we noticed that the room was not what we paid for. We did book for a king size bed and received 2 matrimonial beds instead, we said ok no problem we can work with that, but then we noticed the sheets had blood stains, the toilet was leaking water and the walls had brown stains along with lots of mold everywhere, we didn't even last 5 minutes in the room, when we decided to go back down and ask for a refund, not only cause they gave us an incorrect room, but because the room was filthy. Emerald Beach is Trash. The front assistant "Ali" was very and mot really helpful. He lied and said he was the manager on duty for he didn't have to do much assisting. My First room had No A/C and barely clean. My second room was a little better but still not adequately clean. There was plenty of areas of the hotel that shows there is minimal effort in upkeep. Dead Roaches, Live Roaches, Unavailable 24 hr Gym, etc. I will definitely be uploading pictures one my business phone charges!
