And sometimes getting what you pay for is just fine. ||I was looking for a no-frills motel along the route of a recent road trip. I knew I could get a better selection of accommodations in Thief River Falls or East Grand Forks, but either of those cities would have meant a detour. I sure couldn't complain about the price here. The room was pretty basic and the furnishings were old,but the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. I was surprised to find a refrigerator and microwave included at this room price, and while the internet wasn't lightning fast, it worked. I would have felt better if there was a dead bolt on the door, but I survived without one. Biggest bonus was that pets were allowed. Total price for me and my dog = $45.

There was this comfortable attractive place with a light on outside. I was immediately taken in by the country feel and coziness, the parking lot was clean, elm trees towering overhead like shields... The Lightning that night was spectacular and my room led directly to a nice paved area and grassy spot where I could see the amazing weather. I felt safe going outside in the dark there and the room was clean, smelled good and the bed comfortable. It was well lit inside and the old curtains just added to the homemade comfy feeling. The cost of the room was fabulously worth it and I would go there again in a heart beat. The manager had even stayed late to book me in as I was quite late coming in to town. |

The owner is a weirdo. He's always lurking and accusing us of smoking in the room when he saw full well we always went outside. We stayed there a month until he threw us out for smoking in the room which is a bold face lie. If you have any other choice do not stay at this dump. The bed was so old I think Jesus himself slept in it.

The bed was very comfy and the room was clean. The only problem was the lack of control over the HEAT = way too hot on just a semi-cool night. The TV worked fine and the bath was cozy but adequate. Remember to bring your own hair dryer. We were surprised to find a small fridge and a microwave in a budget motel.

We were in town for a family wedding and stayed here. This place was very nice. It is priced right. Also in a convenient location, close to local gas, food and local bar and grill. The rooms were clean, come with a microwave, fridge and tv. The rooms were also very warm which was great when it is -20 outside. The beds were really comfy as well. Over all we enjoyed our stay.
