El Tropicale

Apartment kitchens are a bit small if you plan to cook a lot, but the location and amenities are absolutely primo. We've stayed here three straight years and will be back again. You will not find a better location in Sarasota, I guarantee it!

Fantastic place to stay while visiting Sarasota. All the apartments here have excellent amenities, you can clearly see the detail that went into the design and continued upkeep of El Tropicale. The apartment I stayed in had EVERYTHING I needed for the stay and more. Location is perfect, walking distance to downtown, restaurants, grocery stores, bars. . there is not really anything it's not close to. Easy free parking, free use of brand new washing machines. The owner, who passes by often to check on things, is extremely friendly and helpful. If there is any issue or question it's taken care of right away. When staying for business or vacation next time, I'm not even going to waste time looking elsewhere - El Tropicale is where I will be!

We decided to book a last minute spring break vacation for our family of 6 and found El Tropicale to be available. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find this newly renovated property to be, literally, brand new. The apartment was very nicely furnished, beautifully decorated, and included high end finishes and materials. We were very comfortable there during our week-long stay. There was also a beautiful courtyard area equipped with a nice built-in grill, patio tables, lounges, and a hammock to enjoy the sunny Florida weather. The location was ideal since it was a short walk to the downtown shops and restaurants as well as a short drive to Siesta Key and Venice Beach among other areas. These were some of our favorite beaches and areas in addition to Sarasota, so we were glad

First of all let me state, the 1 star review which is long and drawn out sounds a like a guest looking for compensation/refund for their stay ! I stayed in the Sunset suite and though it was lovely and very clean (p.s. I’m very OCD). Amenities were just as described, the grounds were immaculate, bathroom size was fine for a rental (honestly its a rental how much bathroom space do you need, again the 1 star review). I have severe allergies and if the unit hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned after each guest with pets I would’ve been in then hospital, so A+ on cleaning staff! My bed was comfy and I always travel with my own pillow or at least my own pillow case ! I will stay here again as I come into town occasionally to check on progress of my new condo! We stayed at El Tropicale for a week and it was splendid. Great place, great service and great location.
