Economy Inn & Suites Cedar Lake

I’d say literally my only and I mean only complaint so far, is that at a certain time the internet stops working as if they are saying time to go to bed. I am a person that wakes up all times of the night so watching tv just soothes me and puts me back to sleep. But once it’s 1/2am you can’t watch tv anymore. And it doesn’t come back on until like 5am. I don’t like that. It’s very annoying and frustrating. But overall a good place, they just need to fix the internet/wifi issue!

So I don’t know what the whole thing with the maintenance guy I’m reading on the internet is about I mean it’s only been my 5/6th day here and I’ll probably come back to the reviews section under the economy suites and inn picture and touch up on my experience here. My boyfriend and I are staying here temporarily for a place to stay since we had personal issues goin on at home so we left and this has been more of a home for me in the past few days than my own home. It’s trashy and opposite from perfect but I can shower, sleep, relieve my self in the bathroom, a roof over my head, and a place to privately eat. and I can’t complain. I’ll have to take pictures for next review.

This motel is a hidden gem! My stay here has been a lifesaver! I feel very safe, it is well lit all around the property, not one light out! The property is clean and well taken care of by Shawn and Margo, they live on site and are available at all times. They are very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and large, with full size refrigerators and new floors. You can stay one night or as an extended stay, either way, you won’t be disappointed!

Easy access from Wicker Avenue and the back of the Inn faces the road which was a bit confusing when pulling up, but the parking on the opposite side was a bit awkward, have to watch where you park so you don’t accidentally become blocked in by other vehicles. This is quite a unique environment, room was ok, you can have a pet for extra fee and they have a maintenance man who comes inside your room to “check it” at least once a week whenever he chooses to which was uncomfortable to say the least. Had a lady walk up to me asking questions, then when she found out I was just visiting friends there, she asked where I lived and if I wanted to hire her as a live in assistant, lol. If you lose your key there will be a $25 charge for a new one, and you most definitely do not want to get locked o

I stayed here on Valentine's Day 2018 and I was very happy with my stay. I booked the whirlpool suite and everything worked great. There was plenty of hot water all night and the next morning. The room was very clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful , they went above and beyond. My only complaint was that there were not enough towels in the room, but that's not a big deal. I assumed they were trying to be eco-conscious. All in all, it was a great price for such a nice room! I recommend staying in one of the nice luxury suites.
