Econo Lodge Shorewood

I am currently staying at the Econo Lodge in Shorewood, and this is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The place is filthy, infested, and completely neglected. Day 1: I came to check out the room since this was an emergency placement. I didn’t even bring anything inside yet, thank goodness. The moment I stepped in, I saw a family of roaches having a meeting in the bathroom. I was in total shock and left right away to stay at the Red Roof Inn for the night (which I love because it’s actually clean and pet friendly). I told the night attendant about the roaches, and she just said she would tell the manager, Vish, in the morning—no apology, no concern. Gross! Most of the ground floor rooms are filled with long-term transient residents. One came right up to me in my car, as soon as I pulled in asking me to "adjust her straps" - I was freaked out. |My room was dirty, the door was filthy, the floor was crunchy, the bathroom has peeling paint, the TV remote was taped together and hardly worked, and you could hear EVERYTHING going on outside your room. |There's no coffee or tea as promised. The Staff is Indian and just don't care. |AVOID This place unless you're really desperate.

After 12 hours of driving in horrible traffic, we needed a place to sleep and were very satisfied with this room. We would recommend to some friends or colleagues, but not all because we know people in which this place wouldn’t be good enough. (even with the bed being very comfortable and the room being nice and clean)

The door says no smoking yet the desk agent said it's a smoking room and it has an ash tray? Room was pretty not great. Stunk as soon as I opened the door. Multiple bulbs were out and the light switch didn't even work. I had to find my way over to the bed table. TV didn't even turn on. I didn't stay past the first night. My truck is in at the dealer for service but I will be walking down the street dragging my bags to stay with the other hotel.

Do not feel safe here and wish this place would get owners who care. Parking lot has shady looking people sitting in it loitering and blasting music. The whole places Its filled with people who live here, mold all over the curtains, trash all over the lawn, kids playing basketball all night, bikes and laundry all over the lawn. The owner clearly doesnt give a shit about the state of this place Because its filled with homeless people who live here. When people LIVE AT A HOTEL, their rooms dont get cleaned and it creates an infestiation of mice and roaches. So nasty and despicable. Im staying here on a trip back home and ill be thankful if i dont get robbed by one of the loiterers in the parking lot and get bit by bedbugs. The price of the room was decent but for the peace of mind, spend the
