The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they advertise free breakfast, but there is only coffee in the lobby. There is, however, free cans of soda and free snacks. The front desk guy was very friendly, but it took him a while to get to the front desk when we were checking in. He said that's because he is also in charge of maintenance and other things. He was apologetic for making us wait. Comfortable bed, coffee in room, fridge has a little freezer. The TV gets basic cable and HBO. It's right by the interstate with easy access, but I can't hear any highway noise in the room. I've stayed 3 or 4 times now with my partner. Will stay again. Not bad for the price.
This great little Econo Lodge is a must-stay. Located just outside Kansas City, it's one of the best choices if you're looking for comfortable, no-nonsense accommodations at a fair price. This privately owned property is well cared for and thoughtfully maintained, from the tidy grounds to the clean, hot showers-every essential comfort is covered. Before booking closer to the city, consider the alternative. Read the reviews. For the price, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better option anywhere nearer to Kansas City. A solid, reliable stay that delivers exactly what travelers need. *Truck Parking*
Well knowing the area I kept my expectations low and I was only spending nite, so I essentially needed a place to lay down. My room was very clean, I did what I call the "barefoot test" and passed without issues. I don't know about the rest of the rooms but the shower in my room had the water pressure of a car wash, it was AWESOME. #109 While there wasn't any breakfast to speak of, granted I left at 5:30am the lobby had cans of soda and bottles of water. I suspect this will change once they get farther with the renovations etc. It seems as if it's under new ownership or management.
Positive: Friendly, helpful staff. Room was very clean/comfortable. Negative: There's no breakfast, pool, nor fitness machines. This is a nice room but nothing more.
I had a lot of issues with booking and prices at this hotel. I was in town for a wedding and my friend told me that rooms had already been reserved under her name, so I called a few days before to book one of the rooms. The person I talked to kept asking me if I wanted to add a room to the reservation, and by the end of the call I still didn't really think that he understood that I was just trying to reserve one of the already booked rooms. That wasn't that big of a deal though, it was just a miscommunication. When we got there, we asked for a room for 2 nights. They were different than the pre-booked wedding nights, so I figured we wouldn't get the same rate but that was fine (we were told that it was discounted because of the amount of rooms ordered). We asked for two nights specifically
