Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Walnut

Room was very clean & most important....no bugs. As a pilot car owner, I've stayed in quite a few hotels & this is one of the best econo's I've been to. Heat worked fine, good water pressure, strong wi-fi, direct tv, & real quiet for being right off I-80. Best of all is the price. Especially compared to Atlantic or Avoca. Cant beat it!! I highly recommend staying here when working in the area or just passing thru for a one night stay.

Pro: It’s convenient and reasonably priced, room was clean, shower water pressure and flow were fabulous. Breakfast was adequate, though nothing to write home about. Free Wi-Fi. Front desk staff was courteous. Everything worked and it was fine for a one night stay. Con: It's an old property. While there have been updates, much of the work has an amateurish look; fit and finish are kind of rough.

Great location, right off of IH80. Facility looks a little dated, but I had no problems. Comfortable, clean bed, no bugs, bathroom linens were bright white, soft, and absorbent. Water at sink and tub/ shower can get nice and hot! Wide, spacious hallways. Very comfortable seating in the lobby. Nice people, no curry odors. Stayed here several days. Right next to interstate, but never heard the traffic. There is limited truck parking, and a Maverick Store across the street that adult beverages can be obtained, even popular brands of whiskey.

Positive: The rate was great, however you get what you pay for. Negative: We stayed for a week. No one changed sheets, took out the trash, brought clean towels, or cleaned the room in any way the entire time.

Quick and easy service, beds were comfortable, rooms were clean. We might have been the only folks in the building (it was a regular weekday) but they still had breakfast for us. Can't complain!
