Rooms were great. New beds were firm and comfortable. Pool & hot tub were good However, The breakfast was terrible- not fresh or tasty…

For the price you pay, it’s nice and serves its purpose. The biggest downfall was our second morning- my daughter (20 yo) was freezing and turned the heater on- considering it’s the end of October. About 1/2 hour later our smoke detector started going off (6am)- I went out of our room- no other detectors were going off. No one was at or came to the front desk. That was a bit concerning- even a lady that was getting her 6 am coffee could hear our alarm and was shocked no one came. I ended up taking the detector off the ceiling (I didn’t unplug it) but hit the reset button to turn it off. No one was at the counter when we turned our keys in shortly before 11- so I couldn’t even tell them. I called on our drive home- but not sure that message will get passed on. Around 6:20/30 this morning the smoke detector in our room went off. I went out- no other smoke alarms went off. I went to the desk- no one was there or came out. No one was there when we left right around 10:55am to tell. That concerns me (as a firefighter)…. Is there no fire alarm panel? no monitoring? I ended up taking the detector down (did not unplug it), and shut it off. No one came and checked. We’re assuming it was from my daughter turning the heater on around 5:45…. After the smoke alarm went off it was SUPER smelly…. We ended up having to open the window for a few hours- which we then FROZE! We used the heater both Friday night and a few times Saturday.

Perfect lodge to launch from Oconto Harbor to go fishing for walleye.|Just 15 minutes from the boat launch. Rooms are clean and very friendly staff and breakfast is free! Five Stars!!!

The rooms are a little outdated and small, but the pool was warm and big, the hot tub was a hot and amazing, the breakfast area looks really nice and there's gambling machines! Love it here!!!
