Econo Lodge Hicksville - Long Island

I was traveling for work and wanted an overnight stay that would not break the bank. Being a Choice Hotels Platinum member, I am somewhat loyal to their brands. To be honest I have never stayed in one of their budget brands, so after reading the reviews I decided to give this property a try.||WOW, the reviews do not do it justice. Saba, at the front desk greeted me before I was in the door. She was warm and welcoming with a friendly manner. Even though my room was assigned to the second floor she was able to accommodate with my preference to a first floor room. Once I was all registered, she offered to assist with my bags. I declined but that service, but it was the gesture that spoke volumes.||Rosa, who prepared my room, left me a little card on the bedside table with noting that

Had a great stay here. Staff were all good especially Sweeba who is a very warm and kind hearted Front Desk representative full of valuable information and very welcoming for my stay here as a tourist from Ottawa, Canada. Rooms are quite spacious and were all cleaned and beds were made when I visited NYC during the day. Hicksville Train station is also close by and convenient for travel with lot of good places to eat and stores nearby. Highly recommended! :)

This is our 2nd time staying here and it was 10/10 each time. Excellent room - the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in, including high end hotels. I appreciate the laminate floors and not carpet. Bathroom spotless. Appreciate microwave and cold fridge. The concierge staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed toiletries that we had forgotten. Thank you!

The five star rating is based on price/performance. The room is spacious, with a new laminate floor and large comfortable bed. Microwave, fridge and DirectTV all included. A large desk with A/C jacks on top. I deducted a point because the bathroom has not been upgraded, but everything works fine. Also, the location is a little out of the way behind a gas station, but still practical to Uber and the LIRR. I'm on the 5th day of a six-day Christmas visit and I plan on staying here next year.

We only stayed one night for a wedding, but the employees at this Econo Lodge go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Everyone was very professional, friendly and helpful. The building may be a little dated, but there have been obvious improvements. Neighborhood is not fancy, but we felt safe the whole time. No elevator if you are on the 2nd floor, but room was large, beds were comfortable, heat was not noisy, fridge and microwave in room. Free coffee in reception. Was a brief but great stay. Would definitely visit again!
