Echo Valley Lodge

Nice cabin rentals in Phillips Maine not far from Rangeley Maine and Saddleback mountain. Basic amenities included. Great place for fishing/exploring Sandy River and the Mountains in Western Maine. Does not take credit cards or debit must send a check or money order for deposit but the prices are very reasonable.

Great hostesses, friendly, pet friendly, all the amenities that described. Great view, short walk to stream and beach to take a swim. Great fishing area. Highly recommend Echo Valley Lodge. This is our second stay and hope to be able to go back soon.

William D. Natale and his wife, Margaret, (both deceased), Uncle Willow and Aunt Peg to us, bought the 'farm' in 1939. My first memory of this most beautiful place is the 100' barn, ice house, outhouse and the good times we had visiting there in the mid 1940's. Slowly my uncle turned the house into an early bed and breakfast type lodge for hunters in fall, families in summer. He built two cabins and had another one moved there which are now rented to guests. Echo Valley was always a happy place to be, swimming in the Sandy River swimming hole after running across the fields, and returning across the fields with a view of Saddleback Mountain. I'm hoping to go back soon. It has been a while since we visited there.

We really liked this place! We went with 3 little kids (7, 5, & 3) and it was the perfect place to go home to each night. We watched the cows, walked to the river, and roasted 80 marshmallows in 2 days time! Rustic cabins build in the 40's with worn finishes, again perfect with kids in my opinion! We forgot the sugar and salt but both happened to be in our cabin! Everything we needed to cook and prep our food (aside from the food itself) was there. Super nice folks. While we were loud, when the kids settled down it was the kind of quite just like I wanted the kids to experience. We would definitely stay there again.

I was amazed at the cleanliness and the fully set up kitchen. Don't worry about finding somewhere to eat just bring what you like and cook like home. The peaceful setting will reset your priorities. Will definitely will come back.
