East Dunes Campground

Had a great time camping in the east dunes lot last weekend. We were the first ones there on Thursday afternoon. Sites are large and have plenty of room. Not much pavement to ride on to get to the sand entrance. Had a good group of people this weekend. Even caught a beautiful sunset out the back of the campsites. Will definitely use this lot again.

It was a nice time, we aren’t sand dune enthusiasts, but if you want to have fun with toys and partying, it would be nice.

Good camp ground to bring your off road toys and have fun in the sand.

This place is definitely an ATV paradise, but not so much a campground. We ended up here during a busy holiday weekend since it was the only spot available. When we arrived around 10 pm, our assigned site was already taken. Luckily, there were a few open spots nearby, so we just picked one and didn’t make a fuss. Although it’s called a campsite, it’s really just RV parking. There’s no privacy at all — spots are crammed right next to each other. Now, about the ATVs… Quiet hours are supposed to start at 10 pm, but the “no riding” rule doesn’t kick in until 12 am and goes until 6 am. Honestly, I don’t get how that works because ATVs are super loud, and many riders blast music on top of it. We even heard them running well past midnight. The bigger issue, though, is safety. Don’t stay here unless you like incessantly loud noise, no sleep, being woken up to fireworks at 2am and your neighbours throwing their poutine all over your campsite :)
