Nice park. The roads leading into the park are a bit steep and rough. And it's confusing on trying to find the park office. We eventually found the host which was very helpful. The reservation system was somewhat confusing if you're not familiar with the park. There were plenty of sites to fit our 30 foot camper plus our Ram 2500, but didn't show up when we were looking online. We ended up in site 17 which is down a scary narrow road. But the site itself is wide and deep, but has no electricity. The dump is sited at the end of the one way road. It's basic but functional if not somewhat hard to position your rig to keep from blocking the road and still be able to dump. At least it's slanted the correct way for dumping tanks efficiently.
East Bank Campground was a very nice and peaceful COE campground. We were in site number 8 and set pretty high up on the hill (second to the last going up.) It was a little precarious getting to the site because we went around the loop from the lower righthand road and we came out right in front of our site; we got our MH turned around and backed right in. The interior roads are paved but did feel a little tight in a 35 pulling a toad (I know I should have unhooked first.) The spot needed little leveling and our jacks took care of the little that it did need. The site was long enough for our 35’ and very wide, enough so that we could park our toad sideways in front. We had the typical fire ring, picnic table, and light pole. The pad itself was pea gravel, and I’d estimate there was 75% sh
The campground is nice. Quiet and nicely shaded. I stayed in a cabin and that left a little to be desired. Very small as compared to other cabins in other state parks I’ve stayed in. Needed some hooks to hang stuff on in the worst way. I handy to get to the bathrooms. Not a bad place at all!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this campground. The campground lot had enough space for setting up our camping gear and cars. You won't have to worry about being cramped up next to your neighbors, as each camping spot offers plenty of room for relaxation. One of the highlights of this campground is the presence of shower and restroom facilities. The availability of these amenities ensures a comfortable stay for all campers. Additionally, there is access to water for washing plates. For families with young children, this campground provides a playground. I noticed that the campground provides cabins for rent also. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the presence of two walking trails. One trail goes through a scenic forest. The other trail is located near a lake. While the campg
Great, small campground above the East Branch Dam. Sites are secluded, wooded and spaced out. Bathhouse and showers are very clean. There are small, rustic cabins with a double/single bunk and small table. All of the staff we met were kind and accommodating. They opened up their educational center for us and the kids spent a good 2 hours playing with the interactive exhibits. The dump area is at an odd location at the entrance. If many people are waiting to use it, I can see where things would get backed up quickly. Quick access by car to the boat launch for the lake or the launch for the river and a short 5 min drive to Bendigo SP if you want to swim. Cell service is in and out, but to be honest, that's a plus in my book. Small playground and a Cornhole area. We walked across the dam, whi
